This beautifully located village is well-known for fish ponds which cover an area of over 200 hectares.

They belong mostly to a fishing enterprise Karp in Osiek. In 1995 Eugeniusz Bogdan, doctor of natural science and fish expert, bought the former state fishing farm from the State Agency for Agricultural Property. It was the first totally privatized fishing centre in the country. Today it is one of the biggest fish breeders in Europe. A large part of production is exported to the European Union countries. The village, without a single farmer, is particularly open to tourism. It has a water supply system, sewage treatment plant, telephone exchange and good roads.
